The 3rd Automotive Aftermarket EMEA Summit 2018 was held on November 14-15 in Dubai, featuring discussion and exchange on the rapidly-evolving auto aftermarket in the EMEA region. The summit educated attendees on significant developments in the auto aftermarket, with input from leaders in the field representing trade associations, OEMs, auto parts suppliers, and online platforms.
The first day of the summit included content on the auto parts market in Dubai, the increasingly data-driven after service market, and successful models for OEMs, dealers, and parts suppliers in the aftermarket, as well as the innovative car sharing industry in China. Panel discussions gathering policymakers and industry leaders, addressed aftermarket trends in EMEA, strategies for OEMs, and the future outlook for the independent aftermarket. The second day continued with detailed knowledge on distributors and importers in the EMEA aftermarket, including recent reforms to VAT policies in the Middle East and the effects of digitalization, the auto repair and maintenance market in UAE, and the used vehicle aftermarket.
The 3rd Automotive Aftermarket EMEA Summit 2018 nurtured high-level exchange among professionals working for a diverse range of enterprises, from e-commerce giants, to OEMs and repair shops. This process helped clarify the future of the expanding and digitalizing aftermarket, by bringing essential knowledge and successful practices to the public. Duxes would like to acknowledge the support of event endorsers: MAI, ACFA, CIFA, and SCLG, and sponsor Restrata Connected Car, which were crucial to a fruitful summit.
